   OK I am a den leader getting ready to cross over to Webelos with my pack and need some info. What is Webelos encampment? How long is it? What do I need to do? Where can I find the dates? I have tried looking on the sites and can't find this info. Thanks

	Once Webelos Encampment is scheduled we'll be sure to get it up on the site with dates and details. Last year it was held at Bert Adams and I believe there were 3 sessions (two in June and one in July). It's basically an organized campout (3 night?) that's more like Boy Scout style camping than Cub Scout (family-style) camping, plus the boys can register as a group to earn certain belt loops and pins offered in the different clinics. It gives the upcoming Web 1 and 2 boys an opportunity to earn and learn and it is a blast! I didn't organize it for my pack last year so I don't have any good details to provide as far as preparation, other than you will have to register by den and choose the clinics you want to attend, and be sure each boy and adult has the appropriate class 1 or 2 medical form (class 3 for us geezers). You can prepare in advance by making sure those forms are ready. I'm hoping someone with more Webelos experience can give you a better answer, but since you were the first to post in the forums I didn't want you to go without a response! - Marty V. (Pack 353)
